What is a HR?

Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) over 8 tonne (8000kg)

Has 3 axles or more

Any towed trailer must not weigh more than 9 tonne GVM.

Also includes trucks and buses in Light Rigid (LR) & Medium Rigid (MR) licence categories.

ROAD RANGER GEAR BOX – will give you an open licence which is required by many transport companies, also many mines require an open licence to gain access to their mines.

Prerequisites

Must have held a Car licence for at least 24 months (this includes the probationary driving period) or Medium Rigid (MR) for 12 months.

Become competent with the vehicle (6-10 hours average/competency based).
